Bright Health leaving Arizona market effective December 31 2022

This week, Bright Health sent out an important notice to members and brokers that included the following:

After plan year 2022, Bright HealthCare will no longer offer Individual and Family Plans, and will also no longer offer Medicare Advantage products outside of California and Florida.”

Bright Health has been offering Obamacare marketplace plans in Arizona since 2018 and currently has approximately 30,000 members in Pima County and Maricopa County.

The Open Enrollment period to choose a new 2023 Obamacare/Affordable Care Act plan begins November 1.

In Maricopa County, the 2023 options include Aetna/Banner, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ, Cigna, Medica, Oscar Health, and United Healthcare.

In Pima County, the 2023 options come from Aetna/Banner, Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield of AZ, and United Healthcare.
