The 2021 Arizona ObamaCare Open Enrollment season is running now through December 15th. We can send you free rates for all carriers offering a policy in your Zip code.

Six companies are offering Arizona health insurance plans this year: Ambetter (Health Net), Blue Cross Blue Shield, Bright Health, Cigna, Oscar, and United Healthcare. Some of these companies offer their plans in limited areas of Arizona.

Here are a few things to consider when comparing your health insurance options for 2021:

• Do you anticipate any major health expenses?
If you do, you might want to consider a plan with a lower max out of pocket to limit your expenses.

• Do you qualify for a tax credit or cost sharing reduction?
Depending on your household income, you may qualify for a tax credit or cost sharing reduction that could substantially reduce your monthly cost and medical expenses.

• Do you have doctors or medical providers you want to continue seeing in 2021?
If the answer is yes, be sure to check the provider directory to make sure your doctor accepts the new plan.

To get free, no-obligation rates for all Arizona health insurance plans emailed to you, go here for rates. You’ll find a small form there that will take you about a minute to complete. We’ll email you rates for all of the plans available in your part of Arizona. Or call us from anywhere in Arizona at (800) 600-9663, ext 15.

And if you just absolutely don’t want an ObamaCare plan, there also are other very good plans available all across Arizona that are a LOT less expensive than the Marketplace plans and don’t have the small provider network limitations that all of the ObamaCare plans have. Some of these plans come from United HealthCare and typically cost about one-third of what an ObamaCare plan would cost you. However, these United HealthCare plans are medically underwritten, which means they could refuse to give you policy based upon your pre-existing health conditions. They can legally do that because these are not Marketplace plans.

United HealthCare calls these plans ’short term’ plans. But, they really are not short term plans in the true sense of the term — you can get a plan that can last three years. These United HealthCare plans are an excellent low-cost option for people with children attending out-of-Arizona colleges, too. We will include the non-ObamaCare plan rates in the email we send you.
