Did you miss the deadline to apply for an ObamaCare health insurance plan? ‘Open Enrollment’ ended on January 31, and if you did not apply for a plan, you probably won’t be able to get on a plan until Open Enrollment starts again in November. But there is a very good AND LOW COST, option that may be available to you.
Here in Arizona, you can get a short term major medical health insurance policy that can go into force as soon as tonight at midnight. The cost is less than half the cost of a true ObamaCare policy, and the plan will cover most everything except for pre-existing conditions. If you have a heart attack or get hit by a bus or break an arm, this plan will pay the costs (after your chosen deductible). If you are 35 years old and live in Phoenix, you can get a plan with a deductible of $1,500 for less than $100 per month. We offer short term plans from several carriers; the rate just mentioned is for a plan from United HealthCare, one of America’s largest health insurance companies.
Short term policies are medically underwritten, which means the insurance company could turn you down because of some serious pre-existing health conditions. If you can say no to the following question, United HealthCare will approve your application: “Within the last 5 years, have you or anyone listed on the application received medical or surgical consultation, advice, or treatment, including medication, for any of the following: liver disorders, kidney disorders, emphysema, diabetes, cancer, heart or circulatory system disorders (but not high blood pressure), alcohol or drug abuse or immune system disorders, HIV infection, or tested positive for HIV infection, or are you expecting a child?”
Call Lehrman Group at (800) 600-9663 and dial extension 11. We can enroll you right over the phone. Or fill out our online form here and in the “Questions or Comments” box, tell us you want a short term policy. We’ll get the rates to you usually within one hour.
