Despite ObamaCare, You CAN Get Access To All Your Doctors in 2017!

The ObamaCare 2017 changes for Arizona residents are not going to make you happy. Many Lehrman Group clients will lose their existing doctors beginning January 1, 2017. Most all health insurance companies have decided they won’t offer plans in Arizona in 2017, and the few that are still here will make you choose a primary practice doctor (a gatekeeper) and get written referrals to see a specialist. And the doctor you want to choose as your primary doctor will probably be someone you’ve never heard of.
There is a very good work-around that you may find is perfect for you. It’s not perfect for everyone, but read on.
We offer a health insurance policy to Arizona residents that is underwritten by Lloyd’s of London. The monthly cost is very low compared to ObamaCare plan rates. A policy for a 45-year old living anywhere in Arizona is just $331 per month for a plan that has a total out-of-pocket medical expense of just $250 during the term of the plan.
You can see ANY doctor and use ANY hospital in Arizona and the entire USA. You do not have to use the network that comes with the plan, but if you do, your providers will bill the insurance company for you. The network is GIGANTIC — it’s the First Health group of networks. You can look up providers by going here. If you decide to use providers that are not in the network, you’d pay the medical bill and then get reimbursed by the insurance company. We looked up 25 providers that we know, and all 25 were in the network. We could not find Mayo Clinic, but we did find every other hospital and doctor we searched for.
The plan lasts 11 months, and when it expires, it’s gone. President Obama does not like this policy because it will not cover ANY pre-existing conditions. If you have pre-existing conditions that you want to be sure will be a covered benefit, this is not the plan for you. There are no health questions asked on the application, so you would be accepted regardless of what pre-existing conditions you have.
Because Mr Obama does not approve this plan (because you won’t get a free annual exam, pre-existing conditions are not covered, maternity benefits are not included) he will fine you for not have a true ObamaCare plan. But if you don’t make enough money to be concerned about the penalty, that won’t be an issue. And you you don’t care about having to pay a penalty, this plan may still be your best and smartest choice if you want to have access to the providers you actually want to see. If you have children going to college outside of Arizona, this Lloyd’s of London plan may be a great option for you.

The text of the Affordable Care Act is very clear in stating that taxpayers who don’t pay their ACA penalty are not subject to levies, liens, or criminal penalties. The only way for the IRS to collect the fee for not having health insurance if you choose not to pay it, is for the IRS to withhold the money you would get back after filing your income tax returns. The IRS cannot enforce the Individual Shared Responsibility provision – the one that says you have to obtain health insurance or pay a fee – with jail time, liens, or any other methods of collection. All of this will be moot anyway when President Trump ends ObamaCare and its mandate that you must have a plan that Obama likes. Trump said the first thing he would do upon taking office is end the mandate that requires people to purchase health insurance – that will end the penalty.
